Stage One - Understanding Your Child
We begin this exciting journey with a focus on understanding what makes your child special and spend time getting to know one another as the unique individual that they are.
In this initial stage, we take the time to really listen. We talk with you and engage with your child to understand their personality, interests, and needs. This isn't just a routine procedure; it's a critical step in tailoring our approach to fit the distinct personality and requirements of your child.
To start, one of our experienced occupational therapists will conduct a comprehensive range of assessments which are tailored to your child’s development. This is crucial for identifying the specific areas where your child can benefit most from our support.
Next, we want to know what makes your child’s eyes light up! Their favourite games, colours, activities and toys are key to creating a therapy plan that’s not only effective but also genuinely enjoyable for them. When children are engaged and having fun, they thrive.

At the completion of Stage One, we will have a clear understanding of how to customise and bring to life your child’s occupational therapy program which steps us into Stage Two.

Now that we understand how your child thinks and plays, we next work with you to identify three key goals we need to achieve during your child’s occupational therapy program. This enables us to personalise what we do and ensures effective support for your child and whole family. Below are examples of goals that you might consider for your child’s personalised therapy program:
Stage Two - Your Child's Occupational Therapy Plan
In this stage, we combine all the information we have obtained and build your child’s individual occupational therapy program.
Your experienced Occupational Therapist carefully selects activities that spark your child’s interest and challenge them just enough, ensuring a balance between enjoyment and development.
We mix the steady progress of the tortoise with the hare’s playful energy, and layer in the three program goals to complete your child’s well planned therapy program adventure.
An adventure combined with the flexibility to adapt is key to any journey. Like a reliable guide during a travel adventure, your child’s therapy program will be steady, dependable yet open to exciting detours.
Stage Three - Your Occupational Therapy Resource Pack
In this stage, we combine our knowledge gained from Stages One and Two into a colourful, personalised hard cover guide that walks you through your child’s assessment results, explains the activities we’ve picked out and includes helpful tips from your Occupational Therapist.
Every component of your hard cover book will reflect your child’s personality, right down to their favourite colours and themes. Just like fingerprints, no two kids are the same, and no two books are the same!
Along with your personalised hard cover book, we’ll send you all of the resources that have been selected by an OT for your child's personalised therapy program. Your package will be delivered directly to your home, so you can focus your time on having more fun with your child!

Ongoing OT Support
One of our key beliefs is empowering families to actively participate in your child’s occupational therapy adventure, so that you gain essential knowledge and strategies to support your child’s development at home and in daily life.
Throughout your occupational therapy program you will have access to experienced occupational therapists. Whether you have a quick question or need a detailed discussion, we are here for you! Tortoise and Hare Therapy Program
Our personalised Therapy Program is designed with your child and family at its core, offering a customised approach to meet your child's unique needs.
Here's what's included:

Understanding Your Child: Our experienced children's occupational therapists conduct assessments across all functional domains to really get to know your child. Together we then set program goals that are meaningful to you and your child.

Therapy Plan: Based on our insights, we craft a therapy plan that's not just effective but also fun and engaging for your child.

Therapy Resources: We provide all the necessary resources, including a personalised guide, to support your child's journey.

Ongoing Support: Regular communications to track progress and adjust the therapy plan as needed. This includes priority access for extra face to face OT sessions at home, school, childcare or in the community.

Cost: $1939.90 (10 billable OT hours - NDIS)
